Days Off...

Days off from work are pure bliss... I got to sleep in this morning. Other than sleeping in (which was my absolute favorite part) I got to go to lunch and the movies with the fam. We saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was way better than I originally expected... it was thought provoking and simply pleasant to watch.

On a completely random note... I really want a polaroid camera!

Just For Fun...

Quizilla...

"What type of Queen are you?"

You were Marie Antoinette, the young Austrian Princess whisked off to France to be crowned Queen. Marie Antoinette suffered much oppression and hatred from the French people because of her love of luxury. She was graceful, extravagant and loved a good party! She was a social butterfly who flitted from event to event, always in the latest fashions. She faced a lonely, friendless existence in France so she made her own fun and drew comfort from her indulgence. She had a very kind nature and was a devoted mother and giver to charity, which is a side seldom seen of this famous, misunderstood Queen who was a fashion icon as well as a monarch.

Sunday Afternoons...

I absolutely love Sunday afternoons... Today I went to church, came home and had lunch, took Henry to the park, and now I am listening to Love Story and loving life! What a great day!

p.s. I wish I was the little girl in that picture!

I Wish...

I was feeling the Christmas spirit, but I'm just not. I guess I need to do Christmassy things. Here are a couple of ideas...

1) Watch Christmas Movies

2) Decorate

3) Get a Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks

Or maybe I should just stop being hater... I would appreciate any help getting in the Christmas spirit though!

Oh Valeria...

Today Val came over after church... It's been so weird not being able to see Val everyday like we used to, but I am so thankful that we still share church so we can stay connected! Well Val was kind enough to come over to teach me to knit! We listened to music, watched This American Life, talked about James Franco... and attempted to make pumpkin scones. Actually everything was running pretty seamlessly. We had made the dough, put it on cookie sheets, and popped them in the oven. We were cleaning up when I realized it seemed a little smoky. I asked Val if it looked smoky and she said it did a little bit. It dawned on me that the scones were still in the oven so I opened the over and was greeted by clouds of smoke! The paper we had put on the cookie sheets was burned and smoking! We had to open the doors and turn on the fan. We made it out alive, and still ate our scones:) All in all it was a great day, but this incident further confirmed to me that I should never cook.
