Lazy Saturday...

It has been far too long since I've had a Saturday with nothing to do.  Today I slept in, Made coffee with my new French Press (Thanks Kimberly), Watched Sisterpants 2, Went to Barnes and Noble with my dad (They are having a one dollar sale), and did Darrens Dance Grooves!  What a perfect Saturday!

Alcott got it all wrong...

First off, Let me start by saying that I am a HUGE fan of Little Women.  I am currently re-reading the book, and I have just declared Little Women as my favorite movie of all time (this is a big deal).  However, I think Louisa May Alcott was mistaken in her choice of men for the March girls.  Here is my quick synopsis of the men of Little Women:

Mr Brooks = Boring... (No Mom, Boring does not equal good)  I seriously do not get how anyone could like him...  Meg is way too good for him

Laurie = PERFECT... Theodore Laurence is absolutely fabulous in every way... He is fun, adventurous, smart, but still kind and sensitive when needed... and of course he was rich :)

Professor Behr = Pretty cool guy... Smart, well educated... Not right for Jo

If I wrote the book Meg would marry the professor, Amy and Laurie are actually  a pretty good match, and Jo would be single forever and live with Beth...  But I'm not an author...

Did You Hear...

Did you hear that there is a serial bank robber currently loose in LA.  He has robbed 4 or 5 different banks in the LA area.  Did you hear that I work a bank???  Good times... At least they made me watch a bank robbery video!

Work was really slow this morning, so in order to look like I was working, I was looking up words on an online Dictionary/Thesaraus (I know I'm a nerd). Shelly and I have been listening to Priscilla Ahn, and in one of her songs she uses the word Reverie. My co-worker and I were talking about how a lot of times we understand what a word means, but the dictionary definition really sheds a new light on it. That is exactly what happened with Reverie for me. I feel like it is such an eloquent definition. New favorite word!!!

Babysiitters Club...


Believe it or not, The Babysitters Club has been brought up randomly throughout the past couple weeks by several people. I was a huge fan (I still remember the song) so I decided to see if I could find anything on YouTube. Not only did I find old t.v. episodes... I found an episode guest starring Zach Braff! Ha love it! Now I'm going to go watch the movie:)
