I really love most cooking shows. They are a sad new addiction of mine. Here are my all time favorites though...
I honestly look at food differently after watching Best Thing I Ever Ate. I try to categorize my food & rank all places I eat :)

Coco...
While we were at my grandparents last week, we watched Coco Before Chanel (thanks Andrew!). It was such a great movie. I had no idea what her early life was like. She almost reminded me of Scarlett O'Hara... she had to fight to survive & fight for what she wanted with her life. The scenery & the costumes are also enough reason to see the movie. Love it.
Australia...
We've started watching Oprah's Australian adventure, and I officially caught Australian fever! It's a place I always thought would be fun, but now it is quickly moving up the list. Oprah & her viewers have done some amazing things thus far. Here are the top things I have to do when I finally get there!
#1 on my Aussie to do list is to go snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef. It looks like so much fun! The Sydney Harbour Bridge climb (you climb up to the VERY top) sounds very scary, but something that is a must-do! I can't even imagine the views from the top.
And finally, I would like to go sailing with Russell Crowe :)
I'm only half way through the Oprah episodes, so I'm sure I'll add to the list of things to do!

Golden Globes...
I absolutely love awards season. This season is particularly exciting for me since for the first time EVER I have actually seen a lot of the movies! Acting abilities are of course not as important as the fashion statement though...
The gowns at the Golden Globes were extraordinary this year. I really loved a lot of them. I couldn't narrow it down to a top 3 - so here are my Top 4... In no particular order of course.
I love Sandra. I think she's hilarious, but she also has great style. I love her bangs, I love the subtle color of the dress, & I love the one shoulder style.
Oh Natalie. I love this dress. I think it is interesting, but still manages to look beautiful (which most can not pull off both elements). I also appreciate the fact that it goes with the movie she in nominated for... Good choice. I love this color on Mila. It is gorgeous with her hair.
I LOVE a sleeved dress. This one was beautiful in every way. More people should go the sleeved route.
Like I said, I loved a lot of the dresses. Here are my runners up...

Toms...
I've had some cute Toms sightings lately (doesn't it seem like everyone has a pair now?)... That inspired me to post some of my personal favorite Toms pics!
While we were shopping in SLO a few weeks ago we spotted this darling Toms wreath!
& this is a pic of all of us who wore our Toms to Deb's going away party!
& now just the sparklers!

Gone With The Wind...
I have finally finished reading Gone With The Wind. I'll admit I was dragging my feet a bit on finishing this one because I was enjoying it so much. Let me give you a little history of my love for this story. Gone With The Wind is my grandma's favorite movie. Every time we would come out to CA to visit her we would have movie days where we had delicious snacks & watched it. She always made a really fun event from these movie days. So my love affair with this story started long ago. Reading the book was such a different experience though. Margaret Mitchell is really an outstanding writer. I wanted to savor every bit of it, even though the movie is fairly accurate to the book (with a few differences of course). So, I have entered that post-great book depression. One of my favorite things about this book is of course the characters. Scarlett does some truly terrible things, but I found myself justifying her & rooting for her. I think that's the sign of a really great character. And sadly I identified with her & Rhett more than I would like to admit :) I can't wait to watch the movie again & have an even greater appreciation of this epic story.
p.s. One of my proudest moments was in 11th grade history, we watched Gone With The Wind & took a test on it. I got 108% which was the highest grade in the class! My grandma put it on her fridge!
